Overview
Contest Rules & Requirements
Submit your film24 Hours
Shoot your doc in 24 consecutive hours (an extra 1-2 hours on a separate day is permitted for pick-up shots only).
AOD Members
Must be an AOD member who submits as the Director.
Duration
Duration must be between 2-6 mins.
Foreign Languages
English subtitles required for non-English films.
New Work
Has to be new work (not previously filmed).
Archival Footage
Archival footage is allowed, as long as it was provided to you by your character, and is genuine and relevant to your character’s past.
Stock Footage
No stock footage may be used.
Submission
Please submit your film using a Vimeo or YouTube link. Students may want to submit their films to other festivals, which often require films to be private. We recommend leaving it unlisted, but the choice is yours. Remember, all films must be submitted by the specified deadline, and you must secure ownership rights for both the film and its music. No exceptions will be made.
