Sam David

Filmmaker & DP

Sam Davis is a multifaceted filmmaker with a foundation in cinematography working in both narrative and documentary film. His work as a DP has screened in competition at SXSW, Sundance and Tribeca, and can be seen on Netflix and Hulu. Sam produced, shot and cut the Oscar-winning short doc Period. End of Sentence.. As a director, Sam’s films (SHn(y)o͞of), Just Hold On, and Are You Still There? received Vimeo Staff Picks and have screened and won Jury awards at prestigious festivals including SXSW.

Theo Anthony

Filmmaker & DP

Theo Anthony is a filmmaker based in upstate New York. His first feature documentary, Rat Film, premiered to critical acclaim at Festival del film Locarno and had a broadcast premiere on PBS’ Independent Lens in 2018. Anthony received the 2017 Sundance Art of Nonfiction Fellowship and the 2018 Simons Foundation Science Sandbox Fellowship. His follow-up, Subject to Review, produced for ESPN’s 30 for 30 series, played at the 2019 New York Film Festival and was broadcast nationally later that year. His most recent feature, All Light, Everywhere, premiered in competition at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival, where it won a Special Jury award.

Aisha Jamal

Filmmaker & Film Programmer at Hot Docs Film Festival

Aisha Jamal is a Toronto-based filmmaker and film programmer. She is Canadian Film Programmer at Hot Docs Canadian Documentary Film Festival and has previously worked in programming for the Toronto International Film Festival and the Syria Film Festival. Her documentary work has screened at festivals and venues worldwide. Aisha’s feature-length documentary debut “A Kandahar Away” is now playing on the Documentary Channel and CBC Gem. Most recently, she directed and co-produced the web series “How We Die” for Telus. She teaches film theory and history at Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario.

    Chad Lawson

    Composer

    Born in North Carolina, Chad Lawson knew he wanted to be a musician at the age of five. He is a master musician and artist extraordinaire, and his brilliance is evident through his gifted original compositions and his exceptional interpretations of the beloved classics. Chad is the official composer for the Amazon television series, Lore, in addition to the podcast titled the same. His music has also been used for The Walking Dead, Vampire Diaries and Viceland, as well as numerous commercial placements, including clients such as Chevrolet, IBM, Microsoft, Purina, Delta Airlines, USB Financial, Asprey of London and many more.
